Reiki For Caregivers

Caring for Our Caregivers

How Can Reiki Help?

Reiki has been associated with many physical and emotional healing benefits including pain relief, lower blood pressure, better mood, emotional release, relaxation, anxiety relief ~ it’s even being used in medical facilities such as hospitals and long-term care facilities

The biggest benefit of Reiki energy on our human bodies is that it promotes deep relaxation. As I like to say: “You Heal Best When You Rest” and it’s true! When you let the external world fall away for a time, your body can use it’s own universal life energy to heal any dis-ease within; complement this with receiving Reiki from a practitioner and your body accelerates its own natural healing capacities.

You Heal Best When You Rest

As a caregiver, you give a lot ~ a lot of love, time and energy. I know why you do this, because I do it too. I know it's a labor of love, being responsible for the one you care for; sometimes with little reward (but you wouldn't have it any other way).

Some days you just want to rest, you want a reprieve; you are drained... but you keep going. You take care of All The Things.

We all know the adage by now "put the oxygen mask on yourself first" and there's a reason for that. When we have what we need, we are healthier and better able to care for others. But how often do we actually do this?

Reiki is a peaceful, restful, restorative, relaxation modality that emerged from Japanese culture. Reiki is literally "energy from the universe." Everything is made of energy (yes, human beings are made of energy; we are energy bodies) - but sometimes that energy gets depleted.

Stress, noise, conflict (near or far), dis-ease, obligation, responsibilities, environmental factors, and other people can affect our energy levels.
